Welcome everyone, to the all new AngryWaters.com website. For you long time fans out there, you may remember a few years back that we had a website. However, it wasn’t particularly functional, nor overly easy to keep up to date.
At that time, I (Erik) made the decision to pull that site as it wasn’t a good tool for you, the fans. Since that time, if you typed in AngryWaters.com to your browser, you were immediately directed to the Angry Waters MySpace page. Dan (Wick) and a few others did a fine job keeping that site up to date and it was a far better informational tool for everyone.
With a recent release of Angry Waters third CD, it was more than time to get an updated and more functional website going. Admittedly, I am no great webmaster mind, but I do what I can. This site as it lays out now will hopefully be easy to update for everyone, easy to navigate, and we will even have some new content from time to time, so be sure to check back often!
I’d like to take a bit to point out some of the new features. I will start with the two main requests that I had from the guys in building this site.
#1 was for everyone to easily be able to get to the merchandise page. You can find that link, titled of course ‘Merchandise’, on the far right of the navigation (nav) bar. Click on that link and you will be whisked away to Knick Knack Records, where you can get every Angry Waters CD, and soon some apparel as well.
#2 was for the upcoming shows to be displayed and easily found on the front page. If you look on the right column of the site, you can see a list of upcoming shows. If you click on one of those events, you will be taken to a new page with more information on the show. You can even click on the ‘map’ link in the ‘Where’ section to pull up a Google map of the Venue.
A new feature of this site versus the old one, or really even the MySpace site, is the setup as a blog site. We will try to get fresh voices in to write about shows, events, news, and whatever else comes to mind in the hopes of keeping you all entertained and coming back for more. This will be the place to get all of the latest and greatest Angry Waters news. Wick will have his 101 Proof News mixed in as well. Interested in doing some writing for the site?
